Art – the inspiration that comes from it, and the inspiration that created it.

Walk with Coro Vocati through an art gallery featuring four renowned works of art. You will know them in your mind’s eye before you see them: Leonardo da Vinci’s sketchbooks and his iconic flying machine; Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night; Rembrandt Van Rijn’s Portrait of an Old Woman with folded hands; and Claude Monet’s Rouen Cathedral, West Façade, Sunlight. Each of these artworks has a story to tell, for those with ears to hear and eyes to see.

Coro Vocati pays tribute to these timeless works with musical selections inspired by each artist’s creation. The program showcases works by Georgia composers Mikeila McQueston and Brandon Smith, commissioned by Coro Vocati for this program. During the performance, Artistic Director John Dickson will deconstruct these works with each composer, discussing their compositional approach and the inspiration for each piece.
